reduce air flow according to heating needs;
4. As you burn more bricks, you will learn the optimal volume and stacking formation that is best for your stove and heating needs.
NOTE: Think of ways to stack the bricks to reduce the “available burn area”. You can help to do this by stacking the bricks tightly and against one or two walls of your stove. Allowing too much air will reduce burn times. Tight air control and/or newer stoves will help better performance.
CAUTION: DO NOT OVERFILL. THIS WILL AVOID OVERHEATING AND EXTEND BURN TIMES; NOTE, DO NOT LEAVE A LARGE VOLUME OF BRICKS WITH AIRFLOW AT MAXIMUM FOR EXTENDED PERIODS. CAUTION MUST BE USED SO AS NOT TO OVER FIRE YOUR STOVE OR INSERT. AS WITH ANY WOOD FUEL, THIS MUST BE A CONSIDERATION. HARDWOOD BIOBRICKS GROW A SMALL AMOUNT WHEN BURNT. DO NOT PACK TOO CLOSELY TO GLASS OR TOP LID. |
